Last night, our coordinating team and a few volunteers enjoyed meeting about 50 university students at an event to promote a trip to the Camino Santiago in Spain this summer. The group sponsoring the Camino trip have kindly offered to promote Serve the City and to also use the ‘pilgrimage’ as an opportunity to raise some much needed funds for our volunteering efforts with Serve the City. A couple of months ago, some friends of ours approached us about raising money for Serve the City through their annual El Camino de Santiago trip. So coming up on the 4th February, there will be a ‘Spanish Tapas Fiesta’ promotional event to provide more information about the trip as well as about Serve the City. Read More »
